A) Bachelor ´s degree in conducting and master´s degree from UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). Substitute professor at UFRJ for four years. Extension courses in conducting in England at the Ernest Read Music Association (ERMA), with Noel Lang and Andrew Charity . Main professor of conducting in Brazil: Roberto Duarte. Assistant to Roberto Duarte for nine years.
B) Teaching degree in music, Cândido Mendes University, Rio de Janeiro.
C) Degree in psychology, Gama Filho University, Rio de Janeiro.
2) Professional Experience:
"Participated as a jury member for several national and international competitions, such as Jeunesses Musicales in Bucharest, Romania.
Acted as guest conductor of several orchestras in Brazil. With foreign orchestras, premiered works by Brazilian composers such as Francisco Mignone, Cláudio Santoro, Amaral Vieira, Alberto Nepomuceno, Osvaldo Lacerda, Villa-Lobos and many others. Acted as guest conductor of orchestras in France, The United States, Egypt, Germany, England and Armenia. Professor of conducting since August 2015 at the University Center of the Brazilian Conservatory of Music. Founder and principal conductor of the Rio Camerata Orchestra (www.orc.art.br), since 1986. Principal conductor of the Cascavel Chamber Orchestra in the state of Paraná, Brazil, since April 2019.
3) Awards:
A) Awarded the Carlos Gomes Commendation) in July 2011 by the Brazilian Association of arts, Culture and Education (SBACE) in São Paulo. Promoted to International Chancellor of SBACE in February 2016 Sworn in as vice president of SBACE on February 28, 2018.
B) In 2015, elected effective member of the Academia Luminescence Brasileira in Araraquara, SãoPaulo. Occupies chair 97.
C) In April 2018, received the following awards from the World Organization of Human Rights Defenders: The International Diplomat Ruy Barbosa commendation, the “Hague Eagle”, and the title of Ambassador of Peace”. In September 2022, received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa in music from the same instsitution.
D) In 2021, received the title of Honorary Conductor from K-Classic International.
